Launch of the Inclusive Environments Framework
Launch event for the Inclusive Environments Framework at the University of Chester on the 15th July 2025.
The workshop (hosted by the Sustainability & Environment Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute, University of Chester and the University of Derby) brought together stakeholders, policymakers and community groups to explore a new environmental justice framework produced following in depth research on behalf of the Sustainable and Inclusive Growth Commission by the University of Chester and the University of Derby. This Inclusive Environments framework is a recently developed tool for use by the public and private sector to guide when developing, implementing and monitoring environmental sustainability measures. It is intended to provide a resource which can be adapted for use by organisations and as such will develop and grow to meet the individual context.
This workshop launched an Inclusive Environments toolkit and provided information about the Inclusive Environments research and an opportunity for participants to explore how the Inclusive Environments Framework could be used within their own organisations.
